It would be nice if my blog could take people away from the endless shorts and video entertainment given to them by social media.

I have fallen victim to this on numerous occasions where five minute toilet breaks turn into 30 minute sessions with dead legs and whilst there are smiles and laughs to be had, generations are moving away from reading, writing and to a more dramatic extent having dreams that don’t amount to 15 to 30 second clips For likes.

My 9 year old niece wants to be a influencer. I grew up wanting to be a scientist.

So hopefully my silly stories and opinions which aren’t too much different from the antics of social media will offer a little bit more focus and imagination to those reading.

I was discussing with a colleague recently my belief that we are probably only two generations away from handwriting being taught in schools as a result of computers and videos and this is before we even get into the debate that is artificial intelligence.

Anyway, I’m off to doom scroll on Instagram.
